Man from Reno are an Ipswich based 5 piece Rock n Roll collective who formed in December 2007. Their love of real music and socialising was the original stimulus that brought them together, this combined with a mutual understanding of the importance of creating a sound that is unique to their own tastes and energy.
What is Moses all about? When we first heard it we were like what?! but after the second play we were like YEAH! We spoke directly with the frontman and song writer of Moses Jamie Spall and asked him for an explanation: “The idea came about due to conversations with my girlfriend, Sarah. She comes from a strong Catholic background. She placed a lot of faith in it. Would pray at night etc and thought it would stand her in good stead – Low and behold things went tits up and she was let down badly by her faith. That’s all the song is really trying to say, just faith, however strong can always be shaken! that’s it”
Never Get It is a great B-side and its clear that you are never gonna get it! A solid groove with plenty of up’s and down’s to keep ya head nodding. This is a superb debut from the Reno men!
This was the bands first and final release. Man From Reno split in the summer of 2010.
