Mr Lee

“Mr Lee” is an enigmatic musician and visual artist whose involvement in a range of projects over the last ten years spans a wide variety of genres and collaborations.

Brought up in a family where music and painting was an everyday occurrence Mr Lee and the family sound system became well acquainted musicians and soaked up multiple influences from numerous eras and inspirations introduced by their parents.

As a young man Lee was a founding member of ‘King Billy & The Marvelous’ (later just ‘The Marvelous’) alongside brother Craig as the rhythm section and backbone of the band on the drums, bass and vocals.

The band gained a dedicated cult following from their presence on the live circuit throughout the UK, over three hundred gigs and one album later the band unfortunately split.

Aside from his work with The Marvelous, Mr Lee features on a number of Ambiel Music’s releases alongside a wealth of diverse artists including Voodoo Browne, NJC, Darien Prophecy and The Innerheart Band.

Lee also works extensively on his visual art, after training in Fine Art & Design his visual contributions and artwork continue to gain him further recognition from his involvement in successful projects.

Musically we will soon see the first solo project from Mr Lee, a cluster of solo compositions including “Get Rich Quick” – a cheeky observation of cash-strapped Britain, however his main dedication for the future will be his visual art but continually as an integral part of Ambiel Music.
