Innerheart

NJC & Innerheart are production duo Nat Clarkson and Gordon Mulrain who first met whilst co writing the debut album Straight Outta Britain for British Dancehall/Reggae star YT. They were first introduced in 2003 at the start of the project and came up with the production name whilst working on a number of external projects for music publishing firm Stage One Music (The DML).

Over the last 7 years they have produced a number of concept albums for some of the worlds most influential library companies such as Extreme Music (Sony), Sonoton, Carlin (Warner Bros) and The Ded Good Music Library (EMI) to name a few. Many of their productions have featured in mainstream advertising and TV shows around the world including CSI NY, Masterchef, Americas Next Top Model, Fifth Gear and a christmas campaign for Debenhams in 2008. Nat and Gordon also produced a skanking dub track for the Snowbombing championships in Switzerland, this was featured on the DVD as the competitors were taking on the challenge of the ‘Bec’, the main slope at the competition.

They also released a number of vinyl singles after signing to UK independent Narcotix Inc (JAL), and had tracks featured on Union Squares ‘Casa Paradiso Presents Dub Vibes‘ compilation CD and download released in 2009, with one of their tracks featured as track number one on disk one.

During the last 3 years they’ve been focussed on their own solo work and have a number of exciting projects on the horizon. Nat has been producing the debut albums with several artists and Gordon is writing new material for Darien Prophecy and mastering selected Trojan Horse compilation CD’s for Secret Records.

Gordon originally founded Ambiel Music Publishing with Frances Shelley in 2006. This was the catalyst for the development of Ambiel Music as the label as it is known today. Originally Ambiel Records was conceived so that Nat, Gordon and Frances could release music themselves and from the artists they work with. Ambiel has gone on to embrace a number of exciting new artist from various locations around the world and continues to expand its roster and musical styles.
